Artists like Santana, Angelique Kidjo and Paul Simon have all relied on Booker’s solid groove to lay down the foundation for their songs. Booker commands the pocket. At 6' 4" tall, his large stature belies the delicate intricacy of his groove.

A composer and bassist, Booker is a native of New York City and has toured the world laying down powerful grooves and orchestral melodies. He’s also well-known first call bassist for local artists in the city.

Among the artists he has performed and/or recorded with are Ray Chew, Jane Siberry, Angelique Kidjo, Kelis, Grant Green Jr., Santana, Defunkt Big Band, Yoko Kanno, Corey Glover, Dean Brown, Mary Wilson, Stephanie Mills, Paul Shapiro, Paul Simon, Bill Sims and the American Roots Orchestra, Femi Kuti, Billy Cobham, Bobby Caldwell and Lila Downs.

Booker graduated from Five Towns College and studied under Bob Cunningham, Richard Davis and Homer Mensch.
